I really like cafe Monte. When you have lunch or dinner here, it gives you an ambiance of being in Paris :) . I usually get the mushroom crepe because it's really good. The last time I went with a family member, I got the mushroom crepe and it lacked salt or seasoning something and wasn't that good. Other than that, I recommend this place for sure . They have great service and are very friendly .

Cafe monte is always a great French inspired brunch . The food and service is amazing . My favorite it the lobster crepe and crispy waffle

Food was delicious and the service was amazing! Had great recommendations and will be back. I had the duck and it was juicy and flavourful. Others at our table had the short rib, chicken and trout and all of them loved their dishes. We ended with coconut cake for dessert which was delicious!

I really enjoyed my time at Cafe Monte! It is decorated well and really comfortable the vibe is relaxed and casual. There were so many things on the menu that I wanted to try. We ordered the escargot with puff pastry while it was good I felt that it was not seasoned as well but a little salt and pepper fixed that easily. The French onion soup was delicious. I ordered the croque madame which was wonderful though it could have been cooked a little better because it was fairly soggy. My husband ordered the prime rib sandwich and it was really good as well. my husband and I went for brunch on his birthday and they didn't give us any birthday dessert which was a little disappointing but understandable. The service was okay I felt like she gave us enough time to think and delivery and they leave water at the table so you can continue to fill your glass which is always a plus for me. I definitely want to go again and try more dishes.

My wife and I recently visited Cafe Monte French Bakery and Bistro, and it was an exceptional experience. We were particularly impressed by Alaya, who was working at the bar. Despite covering someone else's shift and working a full double, her attitude and kindness made it clear to us that this place is special. The food was outstanding. My wife had the mussels, and we shared the French onion soup, both of which were delicious. I had the New York strip paired with an espresso martini, and the meal was perfectly prepared and flavorful. Alaya's service was amazing. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcomed and valued. Her dedication and positivity, even while working such a long shift, were truly commendable. We will definitely be back to support this wonderful business soon!

We took my sister here for breakfast on Saturday. Somehow she had lived in Charlotte for many years and never eaten here. I decided to give the crabcake Benedict another chance and glad I did. There was one extremely tiny bit of shell but nothing to complain about. My food was awesome. She enjoyed her crabcake Benedict as well. My husband enjoyed his omelette. my only issue was the service. They have a ton of weight staff, but it seems like we were waiting forever to get anything. I asked for hot sauce when we ordered, and again when our food was brought to the table. We ended up having to flag down our waiter to get some. Same thing with the check. make sure to get a reservation. They do take walk-ins, but you might end up sitting at the bar or outside.

I had a private lunch here yesterday and the entire staff was wonderful. The events manager Kahli was on top of all my requests and was great to work with. The private room is bright and beautiful and provided the perfect backdrop for my French themed event. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the food. Was too busy socializing and eating. Lol. Special thanks to Matthew, Christina and the pastry chef who made a special order of pistachio and lemon macarons and boxed them up individually for my guests in advance. We are a lively group and the waitstaff was very accommodating and cordial at every turn. We will be back!

Had an amazing meal at Cafe Monte. It had been around 10 years since I've been here. The one time I went, I got the trout almondine and wasn't impressed, so I never went back. As part of my ladies dinner group we had to come up with a French restaurant so I thought it was time to try again and so glad that we did ! We all agreed that our dinners were fantastic and we'd happily come back. 2 of us shared the shortrib poutine as an appetizer. Oh.My.Gosh. It was amazing. The waiter knew we were splitting it so he gave us each our "half" in our own bowl. It was so much you could definately get JUST THIS for dinner and be satisfied. The flavors melted together so well. The fries were crispy. Gosh darn this was good ! There was a small hiccup though when the waiter took my silverware with the poutine dish when I was done. When my lobster and crab crepe arrived I then realized I had nothing to eat it with. I waited for quite some time to see a waiter but finally just got up and went to the area folks were coming out of the kitchen. It would have been nice if the waiter would have come to see that everyone at the table was good. I got the lobster and crab crepe. I had read the review of this dish online so I knew to expect the crepe not to be crispy at all. It kind of blended into a mush with all the crab and lobster. Let me tell you, I didn't mind at all because it was fabulous. One gal got the beef and asparagus crepe and said it was so good she would definately get it again. They only had 2 desserts that were made there, which was a surprise since I THOUGHT they had a bakery right there. However, our waiter said that only the fruit tart and creme brulee were housemade. I got the fruit tart. It was very good, but very small. One gal got the creme brulee. It was also small but very good. Another lady got the mousse cake. She said it was good even though not made there. It had an orange flavor on the top. The night we were there all cocktails were half off. Great deal. However, we didn't see it advertised anywhere and just noticed when the bill came. If we would have known, we certainly would have ordered more drinks !
